JMCC Hambone

Congratulations to Ron Jordan who played Jacob Marley in WCT's Christmas show Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol. He won the Hambone award for the show. The hambone is given on most WCT productions to one adult performer in the show. The award is voted by the people helping with the technical parts of the show.

Second Weekend for Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol

The Christmas show, Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol, continues this weekend. Shows are Friday, December 10rd and Saturday, December 11th at 8pm in the Winfield Community Theatre in Meyer Hall on Baden Square. Tickets are $7 per person and are available at Walnut Valley Travel in Winfield and American Family Insurance, the Rene Webb Agency, in Ark City.
Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol follows Jacob Marley as he orchestrates Scrooge's redemption in order to save his own soul. As he saves Scrooge, he had a "complete and irreversible change of heart" too.
Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol has everything thing you expect from The Christmas Carol and more.

Congratulations David!

DavidsawardWinfield Community Theatre wants to congratulate David Andreas, WCT Board member, for winning CornerBank's Cornerstone Award. The award honors community members for their commitment to community service. Besides WCT, David is or had been involved with Winfield Main Street, Winfield Area Chamber of Commerce, the Cowley County Mental Health Center, the Winfield Child Care Association, the Winfield Country Club and the Cowley County unit of the American Cancer Society.
Presentation of the Cornerstone Award was made in ceremony November 26, 2004 at CornerBank in Winfield, KS.
