The Winter show, The Unexpected Guest, tickets are now available. Shows are Friday, February 18 and Saturday, February 19 and Friday, February 25 and Saturday, February at 8pm in the Winfield Community Theatre in Meyer Hall on Baden Square. Tickets are $7 per person and are available at Walnut Valley Travel in Winfield and American Family Insurance, the Rene Webb Agency, in Ark City.
The Unexpected Guest is a mystery by Agatha Christie. Lost in the fog, Michael Starkwedder stumbles into Richard Warwick's study to find him dead and Richard's wife, Laura, standing near him with a gun. Warwick was a detestable brute hated by his entire household, so when Laura confesses to his murder, Starkwedder agrees to give an alibi. The police suspect everyone but are especially puzzled by a set of unidentified fingerprints. They discover that Warwick made a violent enemy of a man called MacGregor who had gone to Canada after Warwick had killed his child. Are the fingerprints his? Or do they belong to Laura's lover, Julian Farrar, whom Laura has lied to protect? After Warwick's demented half-brother confesses to the murder and then accidentally shoots himself, the police leave satisfied that the case is closed - whereupon Miss Christie produces one of her famous surprise endings
The Winfield Community Theatre has set it's season for 2005-6. As always it is based on obtaining performance rights.

Auditions for Annie will be held on Saturday February 12 at 10 am for adults and 11 am for girls 8 years and up. And on Sunday February 13th at 2pm for all ages. They will be held at the Winfield Community Theatre in Meyer Hall on Baden Square. There are 55 parts available and no experience is required. No prepared material is required.
