Melody Krueger, director, has announced the auditions for the next Winfield Community Theatre Production, "big, The Musical". The show is closely based on the Tom Hanks movie. When frustrated adolescent John Baskin wishes he were "big" and wakes up the next morning a 30 year old man, he discovers there's much more to being an adult than he's bargained for--and learns we must all grow up at our own pace, in our own time.
The cast will include 8-10 girls, 8-10 boys, 10 women and 15 men. No prepared reading or musical numbers are required. However, youth under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Playhouse winner.

PlayhousewebThe playhouse was a big success. At the Cowley County Fair, Mark Eastman of Timber Creek Construction built a playhouse. Fairgoers who made a contribution to Winfield Community Theatre were included in a drawing with the playhouse going to the winner as a gift. Jeff Andreas of Winfield was the winner. Plans are already underway for next year.
