Hambone for Play On!

Congratulations to Cristina Carrasco for earning the Hambone award for her performance of Dr. Rex Forbes/Sal Watson in Play On! The Hambone is given by the crew and WCT board members to a cast member for their contribution to the production. Offstage work is as valued as their performance.

Auditions For Wife Begins at 40

Auditons have been set for the next WCT Production, Wife Begins at Forty. Auditions will be held Thursday Dec 8th at 7pm and Saturday Dec. 10th at 11am. Both sessions will be in WCT's theater in Meyer Hall on Baden Sq. (1500 E 8th, Winfield).

Wife Begins at Forty is a small cast comedy and will be directed by Julia Lambert.

WCT is always looking for new cast and crew members. Auditions are a great time to come by and sign up.

This show also will require a dog. If you have a pet you think could handle the job, please e-mail the theatre at wct67156@winfieldcommtheatre.com and we will pass your info to the director.

 

Play On Opens

WCT's Fall production, Play On! opens Friday. Performances are this Friday and Satuday (Nov. 11 and 12) and next Friday and Saturday (Nov. 18 and 19). Curtain is at 7:30pm at the Meyer Hall Theatre on Baden Square (15oo E 8th).

Play On! follows a theater group trying desperately to put on a play in spite of maddening interference from a haughty authoress who keeps revising the script.

Tickets are available at the Winfield Chamber of Commerce, 123 E 9th; McIntire Tax Center, 119 W 5th Ave in AC; or at the door. Tickets can also be purchased online and picked up at the door. For all the ticket details, please see the ticket page of the WCT website.

Hambone for Guys and Dolls

Congratulations to Tiffany Naccarato, who played Adelaide, for wining the Hambone Award for Guys and Dolls. The Hambone is awarded by the crew and WCT board members not in the cast for the cast member that added the most to the production. Work on stage and off is considered.

Again, congrates Tiffany.

Guys and Dolls opens August 12. Performances are at &;30pm on the 12th, 13th, 19th and 20th and at 2pm on the 15th. Time Change for Guys and Dolls Auditons

The time for the Sunday June 5th Guys and Dolls tryouts have been moved back to 2pm and they will run until 3pm. The auditions set for Saturday morning the 4th at 10am have not changed.

Hambone For A Little Piece of Heaven

Congratulations to Tracy Flippo for winning the Hambone Award for her portrayal of Miss Lily in the spring WCT production A Little Piece of Heaven. The Hambone is award to a cast member for their contributions to the success of the production. This includes not only their work onstage but their work offstage.

Auditions for Guys and Dolls

Mark your calendar, director Melody Krueger has set the audition dates for the first production of WCT's 2011-2012 season Guys and Dolls. Tryouts will be Saturday, June 4th at 10 to 11am and then on Sunday, June 5th from 1:30 to 2:30pm. Both sessions will be held in the theatre in Meyer Hall on Baden Square (1500 E 8th in Winfield) You do not need to have any material prepared.

Guys and Dolls is a large cast show with dozens of great parts for men and women. It's also a good first show for anyone who has been thinking about getting on stage. And, of course, WCT is always looking for people interested in helping backstage.

Performances will be August 12, 13, 19 and 20, 2011 at 7:30.
